Quite right, my newbie diving friend!
I was amazed to see it there, myself. Based on the writing, I think they slammed a few bottles of "Two Buck Chuck" (my favorite cooking wine, btw) before composing this piece.

They could have used a bit more time with their thesaurus. Unevenly pretentious prose is pathetic. {smmmmack!}
