Just in Time for Summer.....Free Ice Cream!

As I write this, it's a relatively cool 106. Yeah, it sucks, but if you are yukking it up in your much cooler climate, remember this: in the wintertime, all I gotta shovel is sunshine, baby!

Maybe I'll mosey over to Starbucks.....get your free samples while they last, kids!

I haven't had to shovel snow here in 9 years. It does get cold but doesn't usually last more than a couple of days. Rather strange actually as I'm up around 1700 feet. There was one time about 20 years ago it got down to 26 below but I wasn't here at the time. The pool is still around 78. Come on over to the Deacon Blues Beer Drink, Meat Eat, and Pool Fest on July 9th.

You may have to shovel Basal Cell Carcinoma chunks as your skin sloughs off, though.
Every winter, we get a week of 30 to 35 below. Every summer, we get a week of 90 to 100 above.

Nah, that's why I use sunscreen, baby! Believe it or not, I'm almost as pale as Nicole Kidman. ;)

Ok, well.....I am pretty damn pale, though......

35 below? That reminds me of stories my mama told me about Minnesota, and how wonderful winter was up there. Went there once in the winter (ok, we were just at the airport, changing flights) and me & the Jet Set Brother stepped outside to see what it was like. Supposedly it was 10 below.

We chickened out once the automatic doors opened up and we caught our first arctic blast.

What can I say? My mama was nuts.
